Category: Online Database | Updated: 09/02/2010 11:34:35 | Read: 3166 (Last: 25/06/2019 23:58:50)

Description

You have problems connecting to the system. There is a re-occurring prompt to install the Microsoft Terminal Services 'ActiveX' control or the connection appears to have been blocked. You are running Windows XP Service Pack 3 and adding the portal website to the Internet Explorer list of trusted sites does not fix the problem (please see article KB43).

Cause

There is a bug in Windows XP Service Pack 3 and the Internet Explorer add-on required (Microsoft Terminal Services Client 'ActiveX' control) is disabled by default.

Resolution

Re-enable the Microsoft Terminal Services Client 'ActiveX' control.

Download and run the Microsoft registry fix below (please restart your system after applying the fix so that the changes can take effect).
